As I've examine, the barrels started to get the “WP” at close to 1905, and afterwards by 1908 both the receiver and barrel were being stamped Using the “WP”. To the best of my know-how, in the event you find a pre-1905 Winchester that has a “WP” evidence to the barrel, although not within the receiver, any person other than Winchester swapped the barrel.
